Los Angeles, CA, United States (4E) - On Monday 13th, LAPD officers arrested Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias for domestic violence in Los Angeles after a violent incident with his female companion at the Beverly Center.
Urias was arrested after a witness called the police, alleging that theUrias had shoved his female companion to the ground during a heated argument. When the officers arrived, they separated both of them and spoke to the woman to know what was going on.
The woman insisted they were only having a heated verbal argument and strongly denied anything violent happened. Video from the scene shows Urias pushing her violently.
Officers arrested Urias and transported him to the nearby station where he was booked for misdemeanor domestic batter and was released after he posted $20,000 bail on Tuesday morning.
In a statement the Dodgers said: "we have no comment at this time regarding the incident. However, every allegation of domestic violence must be taken seriously and addressed promptly, and we will cooperate fully with the authorities and Major League Baseball to ensure that that happens in this case."
