The Juventus football club announced Wednesday that one of its players tested positive for the coronavirus.
"The footballer, Daniele Rugani has tested positive for Coronavirus-COVID-19 and is currently asymptomatic.
"Juventus football club is currently activating all the isolation procedures required by law, including those who have had contact with him," the club said in a statement.
He's the most well-known player to test positive for the disease and follows the announcement from German club Hannover that defender Timo Hubers also tested positive.
The defending Serie A champions Juventus said the player and "those who have had contact with him'' are being isolated.
The team's star forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, is in Portugal "pending developments related to the current health emergency'' following a visit with his mother, who suffered a stroke the previous week
Juventus will most likely play Lyon in their Champions League round-of-16 next week in Turin.
